Purchased our first dry Rosé wines of 2013, just in time for the first day of Spring. It’s been a bit brisk here in Bucks County, PA today but the promise of Spring and Summer is in our glass tonight. Cheers!

Happy New Year.
This year I was inspired by my friend Kristin Perry at The Kitchen Potager in Ottsville, PA to add golden oregano to my kitchen garden. I’m so happy she shared this garden favorite with me as it has become one of my favorites, too!
Cucumber Salad with Golden Oregano
Ingredients:
3 cups diced cucumber
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh golden oregano leaves
salt and pepper
Method:
In a bowl, whisk the extra virgin olive oil and white balsamic vinegar together.
Add cucumbers and golden oregano. Toss.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve chilled.
Serves 2.
Hope you enjoy this simple summer salad. It would be lovely paired with smoked salmon and a crisp, chilled sparkling wine like Cava or Prosecco.
Cheers! Kim
